College Kickoff is this week and the opening NFL game is next week. Fantasy football teams are having their drafting parties and the excitement is building!
Before I met my husband, I could have cared less about football, but thanks to his patient explaining I can really get into a good football game, instead of just mindlessly enduring it for a few hours! What I love about football, or any sport for that matter, is it's ability to build comradery. Whether it's between family members or friends or co-workers or class mates... football and food are a great way to build memories and friendships that last a life time!
This article is all about fun and creative ways to take this Football Season to a whole new level! Whether you're hosting Sunday Football parties or getting a bunch of friends together in your dorm room to watch the game, or having a tail gating party... sports kids decals are a really fun and inexpensive way to jazz up your surroundings and show off your team spirit!
In case you're not familiar with kids decals, here's a brief overview. Decals are made of thin, flexible, yet very durable vinyl with a special adhesive that is capable of being stuck and re-stuck many times without loosing its sticky! They can be applied to any smooth surface... walls, furniture, mirrors, lockers, bathrooms, even cars (they've even been known to survive the furry of a car wash). The beauty of decals is their ability to be easily removed and reused. They don't peel paint or leave behind any sticky residue. So, what's not to love. Oh, and did I mention, they come in nearly any image you can imagine!
I have a few thoughts on how you can use these clever sports wall stickers to jazz up your parties this year!
Because kids decals are removable and reusable, you don't have to hesitate to display them in your family room, or office or your "Man's Cave" just for the season or game! As a woman, I understand that football decals and team color bands might not be in your design plan for the whole year! But, because of the versatile nature of these decals, you can make the football fans in your family very happy and keep your sense of style and design. Put up the sports wall stickers for the few months of the season or for the Sunday game, and then take them back down when the season or game is over! That way, if you're a person who's not into football logo interior design, you and your family can both be happy!
A few suggestions on placement. Try sticking sports kids decals to the kitchen wall where you display all the yummy football-watching treats. As well, I bet you'd get a lot of cheers if you hung them over your flat screen TV or in your dorm room! You could even take them along to somebody else's place or display them at your next work team party or a friend's birthday party. Because decals are so surface friendly... you won't have to worry about damaging anybodies walls or furniture with them!
A helpful hint. For lasting durability and to preserve the "stickiness" of the decals, it's very important that you keep the silicone backing they come on and when you remove them from the wall, return them to this backing. This way you won't be getting dirt and fuzz on that would inhibit the decals ability to be reused.

Well, first there are official NFL and Collegiate Logo borders and decals. The borders are made of the same peel and stick vinyl and usually run about 5 yards long and are about 5 inches wide. You could either decorate one wall with them or buy a few and decorate a whole room. Of course you can cut them to size so you have a perfect fit, no matter what shape your room is!
Another option for displaying team pride is a sports combo set. Similar to the Logo borders are these wonderful items called Simple Stripes. Again, they're easily stuck to the walls, removable and reusable. They come in all different colors, but most excitingly, they come in Team Color Sets. For example, say you're a Cowboys fan, you can buy the Silver and Blue Team color set! How cool is that? So maybe you already have some team posters or jerseys or fan gear, you can add a dynamic wall design that ties it all together for a more dramatic and complete design! The simple stripes are 3.5 inches wide and a whopping 12 feet long! These stripes can be placed horizontally, vertically, diagonally, overlapped and made into just about any shape or design you can imagine. They are easily cut to length and can also be cut to 1.75 inch width. Most excitingly, they are really cheap!
