Terrell Owens scores three touchdowns in Indoor Football League debut

The last time Terrell Owens scored three touchdowns in a professional football game was five years ago in a nationally-televised game played in front of 63000 fans at sold-out Texas Stadium. In his return to the sport on Saturday night, the former NFL star matched that scoring feat on a much smaller scale. The Dallas Cowboys star on his helmet was replaced with a curly W. The opposing team wasn't the hated Washington Redskins, but the alliterative Wichita Wild. And when TO celebrated in the end zone three times, he did it in front of 5700 fans and a few hundred empty seats at the Allen Events Center. TO made his Indoor Football League debut for the Allen Wranglers this weekend, catching three passes, all for touchdowns, in his first professional arena game. Though he was a drawing card for the team -- the 5711 fans in attendance were said to be more than the team had for their entire home schedule last year -- the lack of sell-out must have been disconcerting for a team that had hoped to make Owens the must-see ticket in town. Catching passes from a quarterback making $225 per game (and $25 more for a victory), Owens looked at ease on the small, indoor field. He didn't catch a pass in the second half, but the three first-half TDs were enough to earn him player of the game honors. There's no volume in the highlight package below, so I recommend syncing up the audio from the infamous "that's my teammate, that's my quarterback" clip with the video of his three touchdowns ...

New Sponsors for the New Season 2010-11 Premier League Jerseys

It goes without saying that running a modern football club these days costs a lot of money. To be able to keep a team competitive means paying ever higher wages for players, coaches and other supporting staff. It is for this reason that revenue is vital in the running of a football club. An important contributor to  a steady stream of revenue is having a wealthy financial backing in the form of sponsorship, especial shirt sponsorship.

The Premier League alone boasts £100m worth of Shirt Sponsorships for the 2010-11 season, seeing an increase of £28.11m from 2009-10.

This season there are a record five teams which have signed new deals with a new sponsor; Topping the revenue charts are Liverpool and Manchester United who both have signed new deals of £20m per year. Liverpool ended their 18 year affiliation with Carlsberg after agreeing a new deal with Standard Chartered Bank whilst Manchester United agreed a deal with AON, after they terminated their deal with AIG. Liverpool's deal with Standard Chartered will see them gaining an extra £12.55m per season when compared with their previous deal with Carlsberg.

Aston Villa and Fulham both agree a new deal with Forex trading. Aston Villa agreed a deal with FxPro after having their shirt sponsorship given to charity organization Acorns during previous seasons. The new deal with FxPro will see them earn £5m per year. Fulham also signed a deal with Forex Trading seeing them earning around £1m more than their previous deal with LG.

Blackpool, which is at the bottom of the list regarding sponsorship revenue have also signed a new deal with Wonga worth just half a million. This however still represents an increase of £300,000 from their deal with Carbrini last season.

Some teams in the premier league this year however will not see a change in the sponsors you will see on their shirts and in some cases such as Newcastle United and  Sunderland they have actually seen a decline in revenue stream from their sponsors. Newcastle's deal with Northern Rock fell from £4.8m to £2.5m whilst Sunderland agreed a deal with Tombola which will earn them £1.5m less than the previous season.

Sunday Night Football - The Weekly Television Broadcast of Sunday Evening National Football League

Sunday Night Football is a weekly television program on NBC that allows you to watch the Sunday evening National Football League games. The first program was telecast on Sunday, August 6, 2006. At present, the program stars Jerome Bettis, Tiki Barber, Dan Patrick, Cris Collinsworth, Keith Olbermann, Bob Costas, Andrea Kremer, and John Madden. The program runs for at least three hours, but the running time may get extended by the time the game is concluded.

Flexible-Scheduling System

Before August 6, 2006, ESPN used to air these Sunday Night Football programs. They aired these Sunday games from the 1987 through 2005 NFL seasons. This NBC television program is the beneficiary of the league's new flexible -scheduling system. NFL has the flexibility to choose games to air on Sunday night from the final seven weeks of the season.

Theme Music And The Theme Song Of The Show

The instrumental theme music for Sunday Night Football has been composed by Academy Award winner John Williams. The broadcast also has a theme song, which was first sung by Pink, but in the 2007 season, the country singer Faith Hill replaced her. Different lyrics have been used for the song depending upon the occasion. Some of the lyrics include "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night", and "Waiting All Year For Opening Night". This theme song resembles the Joan Jett song "I Hate Myself For Loving You".

Scoreboard, Logos, And Graphics

The scoreboard, logos, and graphics of Sunday Night Football have been designed by Troika Design Group. The NBC's show uses the same bottom line scoreboard that Monday Night Football used in the 2005 NFL season.

The 2008 schedule started on April 15. The timing for Sunday Night Football is 8:30 pm, but sometimes, the show starts at 7:00 p.m. - it recently happened on September 4 for the NFL Kickoff Game between the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants and Washington Redskins.

College Sports Apparel - Clothes From A Different League

College sports apparel is available on various websites today, and so interested fans can buy them from there instead of hunting for them in stores. You could be an avid basketball, baseball, cricket or hockey fan, and can be assured that you will find your team related products and apparels on the Internet. The past couple of decades has seen a sudden spurt in fans reactions to various sports and the NCAA also is part of the list. There are matches that draw huge crowds, some of whom have planned for this game weeks or months in advance. If a game is not very popular, then the college sport apparel marketed in stores is a good way of promoting the sport and grabbing attention. The team jerseys, caps, and belts are usually what fans enjoy picking up and owning. Some fans buy these before a match and come wearing the same to cheer their favorite teams. If you are looking for a hat with logo, or a collared polo T shirt with your college team colors, or maybe a jersey that sport your favorite players number, you are bound to find them all on the websites.

Some of the websites also hold apparel featuring players of yesteryears, who are today sports legends. These are rare pieces that some ardent sports fan would do anything to get their hands on, and form part of collectibles. For a person to own an apparel featuring their favorite player is something to boast about or show off to their friends. There are some in colleges who have been known to swap jerseys or caps because their loyalties have changed or they have changed colleges. This is a common scene among college sports fans, apart from their crazy zeal to go watch every match live. No matter who your favorite NCAA team is, you can search for their accessories or clothes with their logo , you will find it.

Be it the Boston college apparel, or Arkansas state university apparel, you will find the one you are looking for in different sizes and shapes. Everything from college team jackets, sweatshirts, watches, wrist bands are available for every single college team. Apart from these, fancy college hats, polo necked T shirts are also stocked. Since they are regular piece of clothing but with a team colors or patterns on them, they have a higher value and make for good gifts especially to a person who is fond of that particular team. These college sports apparels if original could be a bit on expensive side, so one should watch out for fakes and then buy. Just like in sports good, there are originals and duplicates, here too there are many companies that make almost original looking college sports apparels. So make sure to check the quality of the product and the logo etc to ensure you are not getting conned. If its online, choose your team apparel and size, make the payment for it to get delivered home.
